Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in health sciences, with a focus on population health, mental health, public health, or health systems research.
  • Design and implement research studies, including study protocols, data collection plans, and analytical frameworks.
  • Lead data analysis using quantitative and/or qualitative methods; interpret results and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Prepare and submit manuscripts to peer-reviewed international journals and present research findings at academic conferences.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals, grant applications, and project reports.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty members, research assistants, and external partners in interdisciplinary research projects.
  • Support mentoring and supervision of junior researchers and graduate students when appropriate.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ph.D. in Public Health, Epidemiology, Psychology, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong research background with demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed international journals.
  • Solid methodological expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research.
  • Experience in data analysis using statistical or qualitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, NVivo).
  • Ability to conduct independent research while working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent academic writing and communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research tasks and deadlines.

 

Preferable:

  • Prior postdoctoral or international research experience.
  • Experience working on large-scale research projects, multi-country studies, or policy-relevant research.
  • Familiarity with health-related datasets, surveys, or clinical/field-based research.
  • Experience in research grant writing or participation in funded projects.
  • Interest in translational research with real-world impact on health policy or practice.
